Healing through Geography: A Spatial-Learning Analysis and Praxis

Learning takes place in and across settings. In this conceptual piece, a spatial-learning praxis is presented to understand geographic trauma invoke healing from through. I begin by providing context of the links between oppression trauma. then highlight how it persists for learners consequences has students color. build off critical pedagogy, learning theory, Black feminism, geographies, Indigenous studies describe form transformation that dedicated elements centered learning. briefly review these foundations as preface introducing framework its components grounded four anchors including (in no particular order): (a) identity (b) geography (c) Understanding geo-onto-epistemologies allows mechanisms move past resilience into healing, sustaining change over time. I conclude with applications heal identities through design environments spatial analysis.
